Description
This book examines the latest research into consciousness and examines the evidence for and against the idea of consciousness continuing after the physical body dies.
Consciousness appears to be something more than the simple interaction of our brain cells, but the cause, purpose, and location of our consciousness are all hotly disputed by scientists.
There is no doubt our bodies decay or burn to ashes after our death, but the idea our consciousness continues after death is widespread among both religious and non-religious people. Belief that loved ones are ‘resting in peace’ is meaningless if death is the end, and belief in ghosts is impossible without a belief something continues after the physical body has decayed.
Does consciousness die when the physical body dies, or does our consciousness continue?
The book is due for publication AUTUMN 2024.
